Golfing, summer and holidays

Here I am again - so soon you say, yes I am trying to make it a habit by writing more often, and if I write once or twice a week, it does not seem so overwhelming.
What is new since the last blog? To start, we are getting some beautiful summer weather - it is actually outstanding. 25-30 with nothing but sunshine. It is gorgeous too with everything being so green from all the moisture that we have had this spring.
I went golfing yesterday with three guys from the Church. It was a blast and though I shot 122, I was using Cameron's clubs that he had bought at a garage sale. I realize that if I am going to get into this golf thing, I have to have better clubs. With the boys being so excited about golf, I would like us to get into it, and maybe Colleen and I can take lessons and we will all be set.
Next week I begin two weeks of holidays. I have to go and see my allergy specialist in Regina on Wednesday and Thursday, so this will give us a great chance to get caught up with our friends in Moose Jaw. I wish that Colleen was able to come on this trip, but with the new job, she has to work, though her boss is giving her a week off in August, so we can all go away as a family. The boys and I will be heading home on the Thursday and Friday we are going to Jasper for the weekend - we are very excited about that. None of us have ever been to Jasper, so it will be fun exploring together, even though we are only there for a short period of time.
I was reading in the Bible this morning from John 10. I believe in verse 3, Jesus says that His sheep know His voice. It was a great reminder for me to be silent before God, so I can hear what He is saying to me. I think that is it for now. Trust that you are enjoying your summer too!
