A Snowy Monday!

As I look out my office window, the wet snow is falling peacefully and the trees that I can see are covered with frost and snow - it looks like a Christmas card. It is absolutely beautiful.
This morning, it was great to hear the boys excitement over the snow and Andrew can hardly wait for school to be over and get home and try to talk his dad into making snow angels!:) Not sure about that, but a snowball fight, that is another story.
Life has been very busy this past week. I love times like Thanksgiving where we can have a day off as a family, but it just means that I have one less day to do what I would normally do in four days. So today, I am tired and think that I will have to go to bed early tonight, like 9 pm.
I was a football ref again on Saturday, my third game of the year and the second time that I was the head ref. I feel like I am a little behind, but it was amazing how many things that you see again and quick you respond to it. I do miss hanging out with the guys in Moose Jaw, as well as reffing more games. I may get into some high school games this week, the playoffs are starting and they are short. Last week, I was watching a bantam game and they only had three refs. It is pretty sad.
Cameron got moved to Offensive Tackle for his game on Saturday and may have been the best offensive lineman on Saturday! He got moved because the defensive coach told one of the offensive coaches, that if they were short an O-Lineman, to take Cameron because he has played for three years and he is smart and will pick it up quickly. He did and I was really proud of him, to have that said about him and then to play like that. His coach has already told him that he will be one of the starting defensive ends next year. He is pumped by that and with him wearing #92, I am not making any Reggie White comparisons, but hey, an old man has to be able to dream right??????
Kind of sweet that I got some bragging rights around here as the Leafs beat the Flames on Saturday night and that is the only time that they play this year.
October is Clergy Appreciation Month and on Sunday, Colleen and I were appreciated. The Church is sending us away for a weekend to an all expense weekend to Canmore!!!:) I think that we will go away in November - it is a great gift and we appreciate it very much. It is nice to be appreciated - so if you have not done anything for your pastor/priest, you still have 15 days left to do something.
Hope your day goes great.
