The Endless Amount of Needles
Tuesday and Wednesday I finally went for my allergy tests and ended up getting over 75 needles in those two days. I must admit that I felt like a pin cushion and was wondering what good these needles might do. But, the end result is that they did help and I found out that I am allergic to just about everything I eat. Not that I am deathly ill to any of them, but mix the wrong ones together and I can get very, very ill. As I have been reading more about food allergies, I am glad that I found that I had this problem. Heart and stroke risk are a lot higher if this is left undecteded. I have wondered if my dad had the same problem, but it was never diagnosed. Doctors seem to know what pills to push at you, but they do not seem to know much about food allergy. Enough of that.
The Oilers lost the other night and it seems that my greatest fear is becoming reality. I hope they can win a couple in a row in Edmonton.
The packing has begun and I am trying to finish off my project for the Westhill Church in Regina. It is hard trying to finish something off when you are also planning ahead and preparing preaching series and themes. I guess this will be a good test of my character.
I hope that the rain stops soon - our road is already a mess and I am afraid if this keeps up, it may be a couple of days before we get out again!
