Friends

The last couple of days have been hard, but they have also been good - we have seen the goodness of God in many ways, especially through our friends - friends here in Lacombe, friends in other parts of Alberta, friends in Saskatchewan, and friends in Ontario. Family have also been great. We feel loved and cared for, and most importantly prayed for.
The Bible teaches that "a friend loves at all times" thank you to friends and family for showing us that love, and sharing that love through your presence, phone calls and emails - they are all appreciated.
Yesterday was a hard day as I began to pack up my office. I went through some files, including the ones with cards, emails and thank you's from people since our arrival here in Lacombe. As I was reading them, the tears flowed freely as I began reading and I thanked God for the relationships that I have and have made.
As I was doing my devotions yesterday, I read Genesis 15:1-6. Another passage, which quotes the most used phrase in the Bible, "Do not be afraid." May my life reflect that today and in the days to come. Amen
