Cars, Mud and More!!!!

Well it is great to see the sun again. We stayed in the house Saturday and Sunday due to the mud on our road - what a mess! We wanted to go to church but we would have gotten stuck for sure. A four wheel drive pick up got stuck in the afternoon and walked to our place to call a tow truck. The road was still a mess this morning, but we got through - hopefully no more rain today or else we may be staying in a hotel tonight!
Not being able to go to church sucked - but we did get to watch some services on TV yesterday. Hour of Power had a young woman who surivived being in the library at Columbine. The gunmen ran out of amo just above her table. She said that she feels that God wants her to spread the mission of hope that comes in the cross of Christ. She has a remarkable testimony, but what she said really got me to thinking about hope in Christ. I guess today I am struggling why Christians, including myself, do not share this message of hope more. It seems like we are in a club and we like that way! I know that I am as guilty as anyone else of keeping my faith to myself - but we a wonderful message that we are given by God to go out and share - a message of hope, a message that brings the world to its knees - may we proclaim today boldly.
Onto Cars - what a great movie and I recommend that all see it. It is humourous but also has a powerful message. Our family went with Merle and Keith after sharing a meal at Boston Pizza. I am going to really miss Merle when we move - we have had many good times together and he did introduce us to Alias, amongst many other things.
Yesterday, though we were stuck at the house - Don came and picked us up at the highway and we were able to go to Don and Beth's for supper. We had great food and great fellowship. It is nice to know that we have made some great friends in the Moose Jaw area, friends that will remain for life. We will miss them all but we know that God has something new for us to go to and our lives will only be enriched as we make more new friends in Lacombe.
One last thought and I pass it onto the city of Regina - can you make a road even? Just wondering.
Have a great day and Go Jays Go!
