What A Week!!!!!!
This week has been full of lots of emotions. First the Oilers lose the Cup to Carolina, I hnd in my project to Westhill and become officially unemployed again, I hear that Wayne passes away, Colleen has a great interview on the phone and we think that she might have a job to not receiving a call back to getting a call the next day to interview next week for another position at the same company! To quote my mom "Oh my nerves!"
It has been a good week and though we have been busy we have had some time to stop and thank God for all that He has done in our lives. As we prepare to move to Lacombe, I cannot help to see just how good God is and how He has handled so many things along the way.
Sunday was also father's day and it is great being a dad, it allows me to realize how much I miss my dad. They say that those who lose their dad at a young age, grieve their whole life, because there are events where dad should be at, and he is not. Just wanted to let you know that I miss you dad and I remember regularly many of our good times together.
I am very fortunate to have a great father-in-law and my life would be very empty without him in it. I hear alot of in law jokes, but I don't tell them, because for me they are not true.
The rain has finally let up a bit and has allowed me to cut some grass - but my wretched allergies have been driving me nuts. One of these days I will type in how I eat now - pretty wild stuff. My serum should come mid next week and I can begin my allergy shots which should help me with these environmental allergies.
Tomorrow, the Leafs and the rest of the NHL will hold their junior draft. Here is hoping that the future is brighter than the present for my team!:)
You have to check out 2 Kings 2 I believe - Elisha is called a very funny name by some children. I reread this week and thought that I would encourage you to read it.
Enjoy the sunshine!
