getting caught up

The process of blogging every day has been stiffled for me by the packing of boxes and dial-up internet access, so i thought that I better get caught up a little, with the move happening on Monday.
While Colleen did not get that job she had interviewed for last week, she did make the committee work. The only thing she did not have that they were looking for was web design. But while we were in Lacombe, she did go into an accountant's office and he told her to come back when we are in Lacombe for good. So she may have a job. There are job openings all across Lacombe and Central Alberta, so finding a job will not be hard.
The packing is coming along and I think that we will be ready on Monday for the moving truck. It is a painfully slow process that only lets you know that you are accomplishing something by the amount of boxes that you see growing in your dining and living rooms!
The last few days have also been busy with people - go to Gordon and Terry's cabin, having supper with Ruth and having Merle for his birthday. It is a nice change of pace to spend some time with some of our friends before we go.
Time to get packing .... :(
